Check out many of the cool, thought-provoking books that have been reviewed by our own Becky Ferreira! ...Also, take a look at Kyle McCoy's "contribution" of reviewing all the Saw movies. We really cover both ends of the spectrum here at Midnight Buffet, that's for sure. Greetings, friends! Our resident pixel artist Kyle McCoy is going to have some of his work featured in the upcoming show "Is This Thing On? 2" at the prestigious Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles! "Is This Thing On? 2" is the sequel to the mega-hit art show last year which features work inspired by performers in the world of comedy. McCoy will have several pieces featured in the exhibit but here at Midnight Buffet we were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at one of the pieces, based on the NBC comedy, Community! The above photo features the cast of the Community in their "pilot" clothes and the second piece is their Christmas selves (according to Abed). McCoy reports that there will be several more variations of the cast in the final piece. Be sure to check out more of his work at the Pixel Art Shop and stay tuned for more! Kyle McCoy brings us a new article counting down the five worst movie posters of 2011. Don't worry, he didn't actually see any of them. And thanks to all those who have sent in their sympathies as Kyle continues to recover from watching Green Lantern. Enjoy! Click here to read The Five Worst Movie Posters of 2011 by Kyle McCoy. Hey friends! Kyle McCoy here. I just wanted to stop in and thank everyone for their constant support of the site. I know there's been a lack of updates the past month or so, but have no fear! I haven't just been sitting around playing the latest Zelda game the whole time (it's only, like, half the time). No, we actually have a few big announcements that are culminating in the next two weeks or so. Big news on the pixel art front, our review section and our upcoming radio drama "The Roulette Chronicles!" Project Springfield may even be thrust into the spotlight once again! In the meantime, I have some cool never-before-seen tidbits that I plan to sprinkle through the end of January. So, sit tight. I'm alive and well and I appreciate your patience. It's all about to pay off very soon. Happy 2012! To celebrate, our own Kyle McCoy has added SIX new prints to the Pixel Art Shop and has lowered the prices on all stock to only 10 bucks! And as always, all prints come with FREE SHIPPING! Nothing says "sorry I didn't get you anything for the holidays" like a great pixel art print! Enjoy! |
